Bar Reyna is Queen of Yorkville
With Pride Toronto 2016 right around the corner, I thought I would introduce you all to a little spot that’s just opened up in the Yorkville area. It’s the perfect getaway for those that want to take a break from the hustle and bustle of Church Street and get in some good eats and drinks on a fabulous patio.
Introducing Bar Reyna, located in the trendy Yorkville area, Bar Reyna is a cocktail and tapas restaurant whose Mediterranean inspired flavours provide for the perfect summer taste bud tickling. Each dish is prepared fresh by Chef Omar, while the bar creates the most tantalizing cocktails I’ve ever tasted. The food itself is sharing-style which inspires good conversation while savouring some delectable dishes, and the setting is absolutely breath-taking. With an upstairs, main floor and year round patio, it’s like stepping into another world.
I’ve tried all the dishes they recommended and must say, you need to try the Zucchini Fritters, Octopus and the larger sharing Cataplana… absolutely mouth watering. I thought instead of going with all the food and drink that is taking the internet by storm, I’d showcase the decor, because nothing beats eating well in a fabulous setting, so take a gander at the gallery of images below.
But if all that is not enough to persuade you, how about the fact that in a mainly male dominated industry, Bar Reyna flips the roles by being a female owned and operated establishment, which truly sets them apart. Oh and to influence you a little more… Reyna means Queen in Spanish… I’m just saying!
Located in a 2-storey Victorian house in the heart of Yorkville with a year round back patio, Bar Reyna is a Mediterranean snack and cocktail bar where guests enjoy a comfortable, convivial atmosphere, small bites, shareable plates and great cocktails.
