Gay Play Day is an annual festival of theatre by LGBTQ playwrights and their allies, and 2016 marks the 5th anniversary edition. This year’s festival happens on September 30 & October 1st at 8pm. The organizers are also bringing back the popular Solo Shows matinee on October 1st at 3pm. The festival features short plays by novice, emerging and established playwrights with one thing in common – the LGBTQ experience.

“I am thrilled that we are celebrating our 5th anniversary festival!” says Artistic Director Darren Stewart-Jones. “Our longevity proves that LGBTQ stories still need to be told.”

Be sure to check out PinkPlayMags feature writer Megan Hutton’s play, “Committed To Maybe”, a short comedy about a transgender woman and lesbian trying to find a date on a dating site.
