Doctor Dolittle

Doctor Dolittle (Rex Harrison) is a world-renowned veterinarian who speaks a wide array of animal languages. He sets off from his home in Puddleby-on-the-Marsh, England, in search of the Great Pink Sea Snail. In so doing, he and his friends meet such exotic creatures as the pushme-pullyu and the giant lunar moth. This musical is the source of the hit song, “If I Could Talk To The Animals”.

To Kill a Mockingbird

Scout Finch (Mary Badham) and her older brother, Jem (Phillip Alford), live in sleepy Maycomb, Alabama, spending much of their time with their friend Dill (John Megna) and spying on their reclusive and mysterious neighbour, Boo Radley (Robert Duvall). When Atticus (Gregory Peck), their widowed father and a respected lawyer, defends a black man named Tom Robinson (Brock Peters) against fabricated rape charges, the trial and tangent events expose the children to evils of racism and stereotyping.

For its 40th anniversary, the iconic musical Grease will rock screens across Canada on April 15 and 18, 2018. Released in 1978 to immediate fanfare, Grease is a box office success that has grossed $395 million worldwide, making it one of the most successful musicals ever made and a film that still resonates today. Premiering just one year after Saturday Night FeverGrease cemented John Travolta as a Hollywood star and catapulted pop star Olivia Newton John to even greater fame. The film’s soundtrack was also an instant hit, featuring two number one singles, “You’re the One That I Want” and “Grease.”

After realizing they attend the same school, they try to rekindle their romance but Danny’s school persona is very different than the boy Sandy met at the beach. Will Sandy and Danny change who they are to be together? Audiences are along for the ride as the teens race cars, attend school dances and sing all their favourite songs.
