Director Peter Jackson, and film star Lee Pace, were in Toronto this past weekend to premiere The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies.  Fans dressed as elves and hobbits and lined the streets in front of the Windsor Arms Hotel.  theBUZZ, in partnership with AUDI Canada is pleased to bring you photo coverage from that night.

This will be the third and final instalment of this popular movie adaptation based on The Hobbit by J. R. R. Tolkien.

Plot:

Having reclaimed Erebor and a vast treasure from the dragon Smaug, Thorin II Oakenshield sacrifices friendship and honour in his search for the “Arkenstone”, despite Smaug’s fiery wrath destroying the town of the lake and Bilbo’s and other’s desperate attempts to make him see reason and make him keep his promise. Gandalf is rescued in Dol-Guldur by Lady Galdriel, Elrond and Saruman and they confront their fears when Sauron reveals himself but will Gandalf be able to make it to the Lonely Mountain to warn Thorin of Sauron’s masterplan. The Men of Lake and the Elves of Mirkwood join in a bloodless siege on the mountain while Thorin attempts to get assistance from King Dain II Ironfoot of the Iron Hills. Meanwhile, Sauron sends forth legions of Orcs and other creatures under his command in a sneak attack upon the Lonely Mountain. As the ultimate fate of Middle Earth hangs in the balance, the races of Men, Elves and Dwarves must decide whether to unite or die.
