Hailing from New Zealand, I’ve had a lot of experience with Aussie queens from across the Tasman. Those girls love to talk. When I moved to Toronto I didn’t think I’d ever have to suffer through that Aussie twang again, until I met Carrie Glamshaw. Just kidding! She’s sounds lovely, and she’ll be performing as part of a special tribute for Drag ON! on Saturday, June 27 from 2:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. at Yonge-Dundas Square.

What does Pride mean to you?
A fabulous celebration of love, friendship & diversity where we all come together and show our freedom of being whoever we want to be.

What are you most looking forward to this Pride?
Definitely DRAG on at Yonge-Dundas Square, and getting to work with with Rupaul’s Drag Tace girls Bianca Del Rio, Miss Fame , Katya, and just having a good time with my boyfriend and friends.

What do you love most about being a drag queen?
It’s all very exciting. When I think about looks, its all very dramatic and over the top. I think it’s either drag or its not. I always use to be that little boy pretending I was my favourite pop diva. Now I get to live that fantasy on stage, have a great time and entertain people.

Who is your favourite artist to perform?
I love my Aussie icon Kylie Minouge very much!

What inspires you to be a drag performer?
My own passion which I have acquired from seeing other Queens over the years, its truly amazing.

What year and song are you representing on stage at Yonge-Dundas Square for the Drag On event?
1997 – The Spice Girls “Wannabe” with my girls Tootsie Toots, Juice Boxx, Ala Mode and Judy Virago. You do not want to miss this its going to be epic !

Carrie Glamshaw will be performing on Saturday, June 27 from 2:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. at Yonge-Dundas Square as part of Drag ON! at Pride Toronto.
