WayHome Music and Arts unveiled details of some of the on-site experiences fans can expect to enjoy while attending this year’s festival, taking place at Burl’s Creek Event Grounds, July 22nd to 24th, 2016. Headliners featured at WayHome include LCD Soundsystem, Arcade Fire, The Killers and Major Lazer. M83, HAIM, Metric, Chvrches, Ray LaMontagne, with an additional 60 plus artists performing across four stages over three days, but ticket holders can expect to enjoy more than the music when the gates open.

With late night spectacles, specially curated art installations, fine international and local cuisine, and some of the most unique partner activations, WayHome promises a wide variety of interactive elements for fans to immerse themselves in a complete cultural experience over the weekend.  Single day and full event tickets, along with camping and parking are still on sale.

“We’ve been very intentional about how we design the layout of the festival and activations to ensure we incorporate all of our key festival pillars beyond music so that fans truly have an immersive WayHome experience”, said Ryan Howes, creative director, WayHome. “We have been fortunate to work with very creative partners and have collaborated on some unique activations that will not only surprise fans but also elevate their festival experience.”

WayHome will open it’s gates to campers at 3 pm on July 21st and later that evening fans can get a sneak peak of the main entertainment space with the ArtWalk that will take place at 8 pm that evening. In addition to the one-of-a-kind art installations and top tier artist programming, WayHome’s brand partners have joined in on creating an enhanced experience for the Wayhomies!

Fido is offering fans a chance to watch some of the top artists in the world via an elevated viewing deck near Main Stage, as well as providing free cell phone charging and offering festival attendees the chance to #GetCurious and be the creators at the Fido Doghouse experience.

Molson Canadian is providing access to more intimate performances in Camp Canadian, and is excited to launch limited edition WayHome cans.

Reebok Classic is providing fans the opportunity to experience festival life at a whole new level, via the Reebok Classic Ferris Wheel.

Smirnoff will be mixing custom cocktails, and the Smirnoff Sound Collective will be keeping the music going once the stage goes dark with special artist performances.

The Perrier Greenhouse is upping the tempo with special DJ performances and custom cocktails.”

During the festival there are a number of culinary experiences for fans, beginning with the specially ticketed Feast in the Forest by Charlie’s Burgers in the artist world, to the superb catering by The Drake in VIP, and of course the food vendors of all varieties in the main entertainment space, allowing fans a wide selection of options to chose from over the weekend. Vegan and gluten free options are available, and full menus are included in the WayHome app currently available for download.

Last year saw more than 30,000 people camp at WayHome and this year’s camping experience showcases traditional festival camping, with general admission and tent camping plus sites, in addition to RV sites, as well as the new WayCamp by Fido, which includes a pre-set tent and all the camping trimmings to make the camping experience turn key upon arrival for fans.  Camping and parking are still available and fans are encouraged to arrive with the friends they want to camp with as sites can not be saved for those arriving separately.

The 24-hour area, which connects the east to the west campgrounds, has been expanded upon this year and will play home to coffee and food vendors, as well as the local OK Friday farmer’s market, which is hosted weekly at Burl’s Creek Event Grounds, where campers can enjoy fresh local produce, additional food vendors, unique crafts and much more.  RBH will also be vending throughout the grounds for fans to purchase their product. Free water stations can be found throughout the campgrounds, and a general store is located in both the east and west camping grounds to stock up on any supplies forgotten at home.
