The CDJ Show & Conference is in Toronto this weekend, and its the place to be if you’re involved in anything to do with the music or nightclub industry.

On Friday, March 10 until Sunday, March 12, the 8th annual CDJ Show and Conference happens at the Toronto Hilton Hotel for three days of back to back seminars, discussion panels, exhibits, parties and much more! Since its inception back in 2009, the CDJ Show and Conference has maintained their vision as an industry initiative that is “For people in the electronic music industry and DJ Culture.”

This year’s event will host some of the industry’s most influential and active members including recording artist and Music Director of the disco band The Trammps, Earl Young, master of mixing Ben Liebrand, Editor at DJ Magazine Sarah Polonsky, Dancing Astronaut Managing Editor Will McCarthy, Director of Toolroom Records Stuart Knight, DJ-Producers Funkagenda and Eddie Amador, and long-time businessman Disco Donnie, to name a few.

This year sees the addition of several new panels to the 2017 program including ‘Women in Dance Music’ and ‘Digital Marketing: How to Get the Media’s Attention’. In conjunction, attendees can partake in ‘Songwriting: How to Write a Hit Dance Song’ and ‘The Annual Industry Panel’. It wouldn’t be the music industry if there wasn’t networking involved! Thus, the ‘GetSigned: Artist and Label Networking Event’ will give patrons the opportunity to be in direct contact with the top record labels.

On Friday, March 10, back for another year is the Toolroom Academy with a fresh, new masterclass lead by Funkagenda and Stuart Knight. Participants will be given the chance to win two hours of one on one production time with Funkagenda, following the masterclass.

Saturday, March 11 will host US Singer-DJ JES, who will crown one lucky winner for her remix contest. Artists can download and remix her track prior to the conference. The winning remix will be released on her label, Intonenation Records.  Attendees will be able to engage with various exhibits featuring major tech brands, dealers and more.

Sunday, March 12 will see performances on the Main Stage including the DMC Canada East Coast Scratch Competition, the Abelton Live Producers Jam, and the ‘Dexterous One’ who holds the Guinness World Record for the ‘World’s Youngest Professional DJ’, among others.

As day turns to night, it’s time to turn the music up! Participants will have the opportunity to attend networking socials and catch performances taking place at  the official after-party at Maison Mercer with Funkagenda on Saturday, March 11.
Whether it’s networking, observing panels, checking out the latest gear or catching mind-blowing performances, the 2017 CDJ Show and Conference is not to be missed.
