There is no doubt that it has been a hard year on music artists, and many are having to get creative to bring some cash in while not being able to perform. Bif Naked  has been one the top 150 Canadian Artists in Canada for the past ten years, and is a true rocker at heart, with the talent to do something you never thought possible.

My first interaction with Bif Naked was during the Vancouver Molson Indy, Sept 3, 1999. Yes, this old Pigeon loved the scene of new artists back then. I was immediately taken in by the passion that Bif showed, and I’ve been following her path and listening to her music ever since.

You know the saying, life comes full circle Pigeons? Well, let me tell you, it certainly does. In September 2020, with my co-host Lady Rae Vyn from Str Talk, we hosted North Bay Virtual Pride where you guessed it, Bif Naked was the headliner one night. We also sat down and interviewed Bif finding out she has had a life of challenges.

One can only wonder about a person who has been through so much, like being hidden at birth by her grandparents in a hospital because they did not want anyone to know she existed, to living on the streets, to surviving breast cancer, yet somehow can still be extremely upbeat about life. At every turn, life threw crap at Bif, yet here she is, standing proud in a very genuine way, writing music and making a difference for many people.

Bif Naked’s latest single, “Broke Into Your Car”, was not what I expected from this rocker girl. While it still has that core of rock, it shows a side that makes me want to dance naked in my living room, with the curtains wide open, holding a glass of wine high in the air. You can probably guess my neighbours love me! It’s got a beat and words that you just cannot ignore. This artist knows that music can make you feel good right down into your soul, and with this new song she does just that.

If you;re looking for something to do this weekend, for $6.50 CAD you can stream a live performance by Bif Naked. Live a little, buy yourself a ticket, and as Bif says “Lets get LOUD, DIRTY and ROCK together on February 13th, 2021”.  You do not need to be a rocker to love this music.

Who does not want to get loud and dirty, right Pigeons? Let us just do it because we all need that release. Support Canadian talent and spend the $6.50.

Ticket information can be found on her website or Facbook
