There’s no shortage of music documentaries at this year’s Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival.

Here’s your chance to catch world premiere screenings before anyone else, and this year the festival is streaming online across all of Canada! From the obscure sounds of Fanny and Sparks, and the female punk pioneer Poly Styrene, to the fictional tale based around The Smiths, and a more modern look at the electronic music scene with Mark Ronson, there’s something for everyone.

See below for trailers and a link to blog posts with previews and reviews. There’s a 10-day viewing window to watch these from April 29 to May 9, 2021, which is plenty of time to catch them all from the comfort of your home. Happy streaming!
