The hit Canadian preschool series Miss Persona is celebrating love and 2SLGBTQ+ communities with two new episodes airing on Treehouse. In “Love Every Moment” premiering Saturday, April 17 at 11:45 a.m. ET, Miss Persona’s mom (Jane McClelland) marries her partner, Lorna (Elvira Kurt). Then, in “I Wanna Wear” premiering Sunday, April 18 at 11:45 a.m. ET, Brandon Bear attends his first pride parade. This marks the first-ever pride and same-sex wedding episodes to air on Treehouse!

Nominated for two Daytime Emmy® Awards, including Outstanding Preschool Series, Miss Persona is developed for children ages two to five and uses dress-up and imagination to solve problems with Miss Persona and her best friend, Brandon Bear, a shy teddy bear. Each episode includes a narrative short, original song and crafting segment. The storylines guide kids through the many ‘firsts’ of being a preschooler through the experiences of Brandon Bear, such as making his first friend, getting jealous for the first time, learning to share, and other early childhood milestones. Miss Persona helps kids grow emotional resilience and reduce any anxiety that comes along with new experiences – all while having musical fun along the way. Season 3 is currently airing on Treehouse.

Series creator and star Kimberly Persona hails from Victoria, B.C., and queer El Salvadoran-Canadian writer Raf Antonio wrote “I Wanna Wear.”
