Whether it’s getting props on your Pride look or recognition for your eyebrow game, who doesn’t love an ego boost?! In fact, 88% of people say that compliments make them feel good about themselves. Well, after a tough two years it’s clear the world is in a positivity deficit, so it’s a no-brainer that we could all use a boost of good vibez!

That’s why, Queen Priyanka and Vizzy Hard Seltzer are teaming up to raise Canada’s vibe by aiming to set the world record for the most compliments ever given in a single day! Introducing #GoodVibezDay – on May 18th, where Priyanka  will be dishing out personal plus-ups from coast to coast.

In Toronto, Pri will be hitting the town and serving LEWKS in the Vizzy sampling station, giving out compliments IN PERSON. Torontonians can catch a vibe – and some Vizzy – during #GoodVibezDay, by looking out for Priyanka and the Vizzy Gang doling out compliments around the city between 11:00 am and 6:00 pm. Keep an eye out for Priyanka around Queen West and in the Church and Wellesley Area!

For fans not in Toronto, they can still catch a vibe as Pri documents her journey on IG live, and get involved by dishing out their own compliments using #GoodVibezDay.

For every compliment using the hashtag, Vizzy will donate $1* to 2SLGBTQ+ charities supporting positive spaces across the country. Watch for Priyanka as she headlines shows at various Pride events, including Pride Toronto.

Vizzy brings bursts of positivity with its vibrant branding and offers a variety of dual-flavored hard seltzers to the market – each with superfruit acerola cherry. As a brand that celebrates what makes it special, Vizzy wants to help Canadians everywhere do the same – one compliment at a time. This year, Vizzy introduced four new fruit-forward flavours to Canada: Blackberry Lemon, Papaya Passionfruit, Raspberry Tangerine and Watermelon Strawberry, now available at select local liquor stores across Canada in the Vizzy Signature Pack and as singles, to find your fave! In Ontario, Vizzy is available and the LCBO and the Beer Store. Pricing varies per region.

theBUZZ caught up with Priyanka to chat about queer spaces and how she’ll be celebrating Pride this year.

Can you share some thoughts on how Queer spaces have had an affect on your life?

Queer Spaces are SO important not only for queer people’s safety, but also other people’s education. I’ll never forget how freeing it was to finally go out as a young gay (before coming out of the closet) to have a space to find myself!  Many businesses have suffered in the last few years due to the pandemic, struggling to keep up with increased financial pressures as they must remain closed for safety; but when bars and restaurants catering to the Queer community close, the impact is felt widely, as it may mean the loss of a treasured safe space for many. Shout outs go to Glad Day Bookshop, Crews & Tangos, O’Grady’s, Sweaty Betty’s, Woody’s, and The Drink!

How has working with Vizzy supported that initiative?

I love that since its inception, Vizzy has been an ally of the Queer community, focusing on bringing visibility to LGBTQ+ artists and offering resources to the community through initiatives like the Vizzybility Project – a grant program for  LGBTQ+ artists which included financial support, mentorship from myself, and more. This year Vizzy is launching  #GoodVibezDay, to support various Canadian LGBTQ+ charities. With queer spaces being some of the most important resources for the 2SLGBTQ+ community, providing positivity, acceptance, and inclusivity, Vizzy is proud for every compliment to become a dollar towards supporting the good vibez offered by these spaces.

What are your Pride plans and favourite ways to celebrate it in Toronto?

I am so excited for Pride to be back, it’s going to be so magical this year. My Pride plans this year are huge! I am touring around Canada and the US all month to perform my music and it all leads up to my big headline performance at Yonge / Dundas Square in Toronto on Sunday, June 26 at 830pm where I’ll be closing out the biggest weekend in the city…as the headliner!

When/where will you be performing at Pride events?

Winnipeg Pride – June 05

Brampton Pride – June 12

Toronto Pride – June 26 (Yonge and Dundas Square)
