There has been a significant loss of Queer spaces across the city over the past two years, leaving many searching for new gathering places that provide that same feeling of support, self-expression and family. In an effort to help fill this void, a brand new Queer artist series, Precious Cargo, has set out to create a safe haven for creatives and their allies to come together, and is kicking off its first event on June 4th in partnership with local Queer Asian collective New Ho Queen.

Titled “Love Hotel”, the inaugural event observes Asian Heritage Month and QTAPI week, carving out a space that celebrates Asian love in all its forms and spotlights local Queer and Trans talent. Sponsored by Absolut Vodka, the event will put inclusivity and diversity on center-stage, offering a safe space to come together with your chosen friends and family during Pride and beyond.

Welcome to New Ho Queen’s Love Hotel. You are an honoured guest about to immerse yourself in a night of pleasure, comfort, and Asian love. Experience the magic of Asian Burlesque Legends, singers, and performers who will take a ride on our New Ho Pole for the first time. Push on that cushion while you sip on Asian Absolut cocktails. Go slow or faster on the dancefloor to the beats of our DJs. All proceeds from the door go to Butterfly: Asian and Migrant Sex Support Network. So pay up if you want to see more.
