Lez Spread The Word is a community based website that allows its members to read, hear, share and communicate a multitude of information related to a multitude of subjects significant to the lesbian world. It’s an artistically driven print publication dedicated to producing content by and for lesbian, bisexual, trans and queer women to defy stereotypical portrayals and give greater visibility to positive role models. A new edition is released every fall, and the publication relies on the commitment and passion of volunteers who give freely of their time and talent. 

Toronto readers are invited to attend the Fall 2022 launch event on November 25th, at Issues Magazine Shop, where there will be readings, complimentary beverages, and the option to purchase your own copy. In this edition, lstw turns a spotlight on different people threaded together under the theme of being seen. Because every space in which we can take our place is essential.

The magazine is distributed in over 20 cities across North America and Europe and in key retail outlets, including Casa Bosques in Mexico City, the Montréal Museum of Fine Arts, magCulture in London, Athenaeum Nieuwscentrum in Amsterdam, Artbook @ Hauser & Wirth in Los Angeles and Artbook @ MoMA PS1 in New York.

FÉMININ/FÉMININ is the brainchild of Chloé Robichaud and Florence Gagnon, president and founder of the Website LSTW.  In this new series, the director Chloé Robichaud, whose first film Sarah préfère la course had a remarkable international career after its official opening at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival, takes us back to the intersecting lives of a dozen characters and offers a new look on the world of lesbians in Quebec.

“As a fresco representing different women – 18 to 42 years old – each episode explores the life of one before reuniting them. It’s a little bit of a tribute, a portrait, and a wink to each woman. This is a series about love between women. Life on a daily basis, a 10- minute capsule, times 8. I hope that in these women, many will see their own realities, whether homosexual or not”, says Chloé Robichaud.
