Requiem for a Gumshoe premieres November 24th, 2022 at Red Sandcastle Theatre, and is the second part of The Apocalypse Trilogy which began with the cult hit and Dora Award winning: Space Opera Zero.

Rick Fischmascher is a rumpled private detective and warlock for hire, haunted by the death of his son, and entrenched in the arcane murder of a troubled opera singer. And he’s the chief suspect. Requiem for a Gumshoe is a weird-noir, hardboiled mystery, re-telling the Norse legend of Ragnarok in the pulpy style of Raymond Chandler infused with the cosmic horror of HP Lovecraft.

SNAPSHOT REVIEW

The weird-noir mix of hardboiled mystery, Norse legend, and Lovecraftian horror, re-unites director, Dylan Trowbridge with Dora Award winning designer Melanie McNeill, and returning cast members Lisa Norton, Mairi Babb and Eric Woolfe, who also created this surreal, word-destroying, who-dunnit. Joining the team is sound designer Verne Good, lighting designer Gareth Crew.
