On February 14, 2023, Souperlicious! will celebrate the day of LOVE, as Marty G. Sensations will be serving up free, chef-inspired, delicious hot soup and a “Nu Bügel” bagel to hundreds of people from multiple soup stations around the city. The chef inspired soups will reflect our many diverse cultures from around the world. Marty G. Sensations recognizes how hard life has been over this last couple of years. So now it’s time to celebrate life and love!

Marty G. Sensations is a food product line and charitable partnership headed by producer and celebrity host, Marty Galin, known for creating and helming five television cooking shows and being celebrated as a popular radio personality for ten years. He created the first incarnation of “Souperlicious!” with the Growers of the Holland Marsh and hosted the event for two successful years. In 2007 Marty created The World’s Largest Salad which fed 20,000 people on the 7th day of the 7th month in Scarborough. He organized Currylicious with 15 Toronto restaurants serving 15,000 meals with 15,000 naan breads on the side.

Chef Errico Giordano was born in Naples, home of the world-famous Neapolitan pizza and some of the most famous pastries of the Italian culture. He had an early start in the kitchen at an early age where his mother lovingly prepared traditional dishes. Since moving to Toronto in 2011, this husband and father has been dedicated to bringing the amazing food of his homeland to the table of Canadians. As a pastry and pizza chef he brings unique new flavours to traditional favourites.

Marty and Errico are cooking up their latest creations – yummy homemade butter tarts with flavours that include pumpkin, blueberry and the fabulous Limoncello Tart created by Errico and his dear friend pastry Chef Federico from Freddy’s Pie to celebrate their Italian heritage. New to the product line is their Kosher stuffed bagel filled with the wonderful flavours of feta and spinach and taste-busting kosher bourekas with mashed potato.

These avid foodies with big hearts are always looking for ways to give back to the community and to make a difference in people’s lives with food and love. Let’s keep the big chill from making us feel those wintertime blues.

Marty brings people together with food, laughter and warmth. But good hearts often come from hard times. Marty wants to give back to the community after growing up in a family with his father disabled with MS and a mother who struggled to provide food for four hungry mouths. People who survive adversity and triumph always want to give back in gratitude.

In these challenging times, there is a definite shortage of food for the most vulnerable. Mothers and fathers are often spending their entire income before their next pay. Children go hungry. Families go hungry. Homeless souls go hungry.

Look for many “loving ladles” dishing up soup at Hothouse Restaurant, 519 Community Centre, The Old Spaghetti Factory, Burger Shack, Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital, “St. Michael & All Angels Church, Oakwood Hardware Food & Drink, Bank of Montreal Church St, and many more locations.

You can help “Cook the Soup”

Marty needs your help to make this “Souperlicious!” event a success and to bring LOVE and SOUP! to the City on Valentine’s Day. If you are a corporation, please consider making a donation to help us buy the food, products and advertisements allowing us to stir in all the main ingredients for fabulous city-wide event. If you are a chef, please consider contributing your talents. Your savoury soup will be appreciated and provide warmth and comfort. A minimum of one batch is needed. And of course, more would simply be amazing! If you are a grower, food is also appreciated (carrots, onions, potatoes, etc). Volunteers are also needed.
