Heavenly Creatures is a quartet of international gay short films, the latest in its popular The Male Gaze collection. These films explore faith and passion. Forgive them, father, for these boys have sinned. Witness how the power of God works in mysterious ways, from sexual tension high up in the Spanish mountains to the castles of medieval France and the gossip-filled side streets of Abidjan in West Africa. Religion can be a man’s prison, but sometimes it can set him free.
THE VICE OF BUGGERY (France, 16 mins) Director: Rēmi Giordano
Cast: Stefan Cepon, (TV’s Endor, Peter von Kant); Cyril Metzger (TV’s Winter Palace).
Newly crowned king, Henri de Valois, known as Henri III, travels to the provinces to find the handsome Gabriel, whom he once loved. But can he claim the kiss the young man once refused him?

Ali, a young gay Muslim, reluctantly attends the catholic wedding of his lover Saint. He tries to keep discreet, but another guest and acquaintance Maël soon understands the true nature of the relationship between the two men and seeks to exploit it to his own advantage.

A young man’s obsession with the half-naked figure of Jesus Christ leads him to explore his sexual desires down a more dangerous path of self-harm and masochistic tendencies.
THE PASSION ACCORDING TO KARIM (France, 24 mins) Director: Axel Würsten)
Cast: Arman Saibi, Pierre Gommé, Léonard Pauchon, Emmanuelle Bougerol, Axel Würsten.
A scout troop arrives in a remote village to enact the Crucifixion of Christ to the local community. Seventeen-year-old Karim has been cast in the lead and he’s determined to find the ecstasy within himself to ensure his performance will be authentic with a helping hand from fellow scout Pierre-Marie. Shortlisted for Iris Prize LGBTQ+ Film Festival 2025.
Heavenly Creatures is available on streaming platforms from November 24, 2025. It’s available worldwide on Vimeo, PeccadilloPOD and Payhip..
