Five award-winning coming of age short films offering a glimpse of how boys and young men tackle life’s difficult desires: confronting one’s demons, understanding sexual relationships, gaining the respect of one’s father, or simply running away from it all. This is only the start of their complex formative years, where not every question has an answer, and not every answer makes sense.

Directed by Isabella Carbonell, Simon Pfister, Cleo Julia Mullis, Jure Pavlović, Sarah Veltmayer.

In an institution for young sex offenders, new addition Markus attempts to process and understand the disturbing behaviours of his past. When he meets Tobbe, he finds in him someone who can see beyond what seems so horrifying to those around him.
Young Romanian Adrian does everything in his power to get his sister out of Romania and into Switzerland. Working as a hustler on the streets of Zurich, he saves up as much money as he can so that he can fulfil their wish to be together.
Sven feels trapped in a dysfunctional family which only consists of duos. His brother Alex, in observing their parents’ behaviour, tries to keep Sven by his side through using their Mum and Dad’s methods.
Emir, accompanied by a social worker, is on his way to meet his father for a weekend picnic at Igman, a semi-open penitentiary. Due to the heavy traffic they are late, and the day’s events go downhill from there.
The brothers Andi (13) en Florist (20) live in a poor and desolate village in Kosovo. By selling milk they earn just enough money to support the family. When Andi discovers a card of a Dutch porn star in their bedroom, he needs a telephone to watch it. He is so obsessed with it, he doesn’t notice his brother has chosen this day to say goodbye to him.
