Embrace and The Danforth Music Hall have teamed up once again, this time to open their own separate bar – Danforth Sidebar. Located next door to the Danforth Music Hall at 161 Danforth Avenue, Sidebar was conceived as a natural extension of the concert going experience, offering a new dining option for the pre- and post-concert crowd as well as area residents.

Behind the menu is Chef Eric Jacobs, who has created a medley of modern-American fare, featuring a mix of shareable plates, unique dishes, and American classics. Highlights include the Sidebar Burger, Shishito Peppers, Classic Cobb Salad, and the Southern Fried Chicken. Chef Jacobs most notably honed his craft over the last few years in several Chase Hospitality Group establishments.

The full service bar will feature creative and classic cocktails, a beer list of local craft specialties and international brands, and a wide array of wines that will include rotating features on tap and an affordable selection of great bottles. With cozy seating, dim lighting, modern classic decor, exposed brick wall, and unisex washrooms (lower level), Sidebar’s 60-seat dining room and well-appointed cocktail bar create an intimate atmosphere that sets the stage for a memorable night out. The added touch of a sliding garage door window will take street-side sipping to a new level in the warmer months, and the calendar of upcoming shows for the Danforth Music Hall is a nice added touch as well. January 12th is the official grand opening weekend, as Sidebar joins the neighbourhood as the new go-to spot for cocktails and dinner seven nights per week from 5pm, switching over to their late-night menu at 10pm. Danforth Sidebar definitely adds some sophistication to the neighbourhood!
