Known as one of the marquee events during TIFF in support of Artists for Peace and Justice. This year, the gala will be co-chaired by NKPR President Natasha Koifman and philanthropist Sylvia Mantella of the Mantella Corporation. Held previously at local private residences, this year’s event will be held at the glorious Liberty Entertainment Group venue Casa Loma and sponsored in part by Audi on Sunday at Casa Loma in Toronto. Past headlining guests have included Michael Bolton, Eddie Vedder, Jude Law, Rufus Wainwright and Daniel Lanois. The evening featured an elegant black tie cocktail and gala dinner in the castle garden, followed by very special musical performances.
Artists for Peace and Justice (APJ) is a non-profit organization that encourages peace and social justice and addresses issues of poverty around the world. Our immediate goal is to serve the poorest communities in Haiti with programs in education, healthcare and dignity. They are committed to long-term, sustainable development in direct partnership with the Haitian people. Their model is: “We believe in empowering local communities, fostering economic growth, and the power of education to change a nation.”
