Drag ON! is almost upon us!!  Yonge-Dundas Square will be filled with singing, dancing, twirling and whirling drag queens on Saturday, June 27 from 2:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.  One of those queens is Mahogany Browne, a performer who can regularly be seen in any number of clubs around the city.  We thought we’d ask Mahogany a few questions which would give our readers some insight into this particular personaliity.

What is your best/favourite Pride memory?

World Pride 2014 has to be my best pride memory, and most recent too, but seeing a sea of faces jamming to me prancing ann dancing on stage was incredible.

Who is your idol or inspiration, and why?

Jackae Baker, Chris Edwards, Michelle Ross and of course my drag Mother: Nicolette Brown. I owe it ALL to her!

What is your best/favourite experience as a performer, to date?

Putting a smile on the faces of my audience. Without them I am nothing.

Where do you hope your proficiency as a performer will take you in the future?

As I wind down my drag career, looking back at what I have accomplished and where I am today, I am grateful for everything and everyone who had an influence. That being said, I look forward to performing at Pride each year.

What year and song are you representing on stage at Yonge-Dundas Square for the Drag ON! event?

I’m Every Woman by Whitney Houston, 1993.

You can join the masses at Yonge-Dundas Square for Drag ON! on June 27, from 2:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. and cheer for Mahogany Browne and 34 other talented performers.
