Be still all hearts – there truly is a FOOD and FILM Festival!

Of all of the entertainment ideas or great combinations known to man, there is none more perfect for Taste Buds than a food-focused film festival! Not only does it get us gals off of the couch just watching at home, but we get to enjoy each film adventure with a featured and talented chef.

The Eatable Film Festival is a three night food film festival that features some of Toronto’s most talented chefs. Each screening is of a food-obsessed film paired with food and drinks inspired by the film. The festival runs from October 4th to October 6th at the Royal Cinema in Toronto.

” This idea of a food-focused film festival so intrigued me that I then traveled to Berlin to check out the first-ever Culinary Cinema program. I realized that my city, Toronto, was the perfect place to combine great food films with great chefs,”  says Rachel Low, executive director, Eatable Film Festival.

Natalie and I are especially interested in the premiere screening of Sergio Herman, F***king Perfect playing on Monday October 5th. Having owned a Tapas & Wine fine dining restaurant, that we closed for similar reasons, the story line immediately caught our attention – ***Everyone is shocked when master chef Sergio Herman closes his 3 Michelin star restaurant. A riveting story of perfection, ambition and sacrifice.***

Chef Brandon Olsen

This particular film, a journey into the mind of a perfection seeking chef, features the magic of Chef Brandon Olsen who creates the perfect bite, perfect cinema concession treat and the perfect drink. Chef Olsen is currently the Chef de Cuisine at Bar Isabel.

We encourage everyone to join us or attend. Each night highlights a totally immersive screening event with it’s own theme, tone and taste.
