The New Rythym of Blu – Party November 6th in Toronto
It’s no secret that like most queers I love to dance and am a music junkie.
If you love to trip the light fantastic do I have an event for you!
Canadian superstar DJ and producer Sydney Blu is debuting her
exciting Blu Party here in the T Dot this Friday November
6, 2015 .
The Blu Party is an event concept born from Sydney Blu’s record label and brand Blu Music, known for chart topping cutting edge house, techno and deep house records. Besides the coolest name ever, Sydney is a talented beautiful 37 year old electric beat artist who continues to establish herself as one of the top female electronic producers in the world. She is the only female electronic producer to ever have a top 10 hit on the website Beatport, ‘Give It Up For Me’, which is available on Mau5trap Recordings.
If that isn’t impressive enough, she developed and founded her own record label Blu Music and she consistently hits the Beatport charts, with her remixes of Givin it Up by The Goodmen and a re-edit of Jefferson Airplane titled ‘Want Somebody’ topping the charts for weeks. As well, Blu’s label had one of it’s biggest hits this past year with Trent Cantrelle’s ‘I Wanna Freak’ topping the Beatport Top 10 and holding the #1 House song on the website for 3 months.
The Blu Party brand has hosted its annual event during Miami Music Week (MMW) for the past 6 years and is known to be one of the most well respected MMW parties.
The Blu Party has a penchant for debuting A-list and unstoppable talent including Pleasurekraft, Riva Starr, Kevin Saunderson, Stacey Pullen, Doorly, Skream, Technasia, Uner, My Favorite Robot, Wally Lopez, Anthony Attalla, The Junkies, Behrouz, Funkagenda, The Scumfrog, Yousef, Joeski, and Harry Romero, while making stops in LA (3 times), New York, Calgary, Hamilton and Washington DC.
Sydney Blu couldn’t be anymore thrilled to finally bring her Blu brand home! Paying homage to her city, The Blu Party Toronto will feature fellow Toronto-natives and eminent tech house-duo, The Roaches. Made up of Carlo Lio and Nathan Barato. The two used to play together under this moniker in their early days of DJing throughout the city. Now, both recognized names among the International stage for their solo careers, Carlo Lio and Nathan Barato will come together once again as The Roaches for a night of b2b pulsating techno.
Presenting The Blu Party are Toronto’s finest promoters: Footwork/CODA Team, Sound Mind, Destiny, Activate, Way Of Acting and We Hear Forever. Get ready! Because The Blu Party Toronto edition is about to give us a proper lesson in authentic underground techno.
Club Space Miami residents Cocodrills (Christian “Pridef” Diaz and Adam
Cruz), pride themselves on creating a unique musical experience, which can
only be just that – experienced.
But make sure to leave your pretense at the door ’cause you won’t find any bulls**t at one of their parties; only funky grooves, positive vibes and rampant debauchery.
As the duo like to say, come “get drilled.” Just having inked an album deal with Black Hole Recordings, Sydney’s first release,”Chemistry” raced up the Beatport Progressive House chart.
Always busy in the studio, she’s got an arsenal of original tracks and remixes that will be released on her new found home, Black Hole as well as Funk Farm and Spinnin Records. Bluring the lines between Fashion and The Arts, Sydney has played at film festivals, art galleries and fashion shows as well as events for Louis Vuitton, H&M and Guess. She also recently scored a commercial for Under Armour and remixed their well known “I Will” track.
With an explosive touring schedule that is taking her all over the world once again, the future is looking busier than ever for the very accomplished SYDNEY BLU.
Positive vibes, gorgeous DJ, rampant debauchery? Can’t miss that! Who is joining me?
Friday November 6th – 135 Liberty Street, Toronto Doors open @ 10:00pm and tickets are $25.00
