International Day Against Homophobia / Transphobia Fundraising Gala – May 17, 2016
The Canadian Centre for Gender & Sexual Diversity, formerly Jer’s Vision, is celebrating the International Day Against Homophobia & Transphobia with our Annual Gala!
The event will bring together 250 guests to Toronto to celebrate the work the community has done across Canada to address herterosexism & cissexism. Join host Andre Morriseau & Kelly Kyle, alongside key community and business leaders from throughout Canada for an incredible dinner and show. The event will feature performances from Gavin Crawford, and many more.
Where does the money raised go?
The International Day Against Homophobia & Transphobia Gala will be funding two major programs offered by the CCGSD. The first is the national Gender and Sexuality Alliance (GSA) Forum, a week-long conference to train LGBTQ+ and Allied youth on combating bullying and discrimination in their schools. The second program is the Regional Youth Conferences, one day conferences held in regions across Canada on bullying and discrimination.
The May 17th gala opens with a reception at 6:30PM, with the dinner beginning at 7:15PM.
The gala is being held at The Bram & Bluma Appel Salon at the Toronto Reference Library (789 Younge St, 2nd floor) and catered by EnVille. Wine is being graciously provided by Barefoot Wine & Bubbly, and beer is generously provided by Beau’s Beer.
