Flash Nightclub is one of Church Street’s most popular venues, and while it mostly delivers a sultry male-only ambiance, Flash is home to an array of eclectic events including the long-running “FML Mondays Industry Night,” produced by MoJo Toronto – the event company I run with my life and business partner, Monty Tayara.

Going on its 9 year anniversary this November, “FML Mondays” has become a Village staple, and MoJo Toronto is more than proud to present it at a historical and beautifully restored venue in the heart of the LGBTQ+ Village. Monday nights also allow for women to join in the fun as Flash is transformed into an industry dance party. With October being one of the busiest months for FML Mondays, we’re also gearing up for Halloween! So be sure to check out FML Mondays Halloween Edition featuring local MoJo Queen, Scarlett BoBo and from Dragula Season 3, Drag monster Yovska! Flash will also be opening both floors on Halloween night for MoJo Toronto’s annual “MOJOWEEN” event featuring local talent, costume prizes and ghoulish yet sexy Flash dancers.

You may know the owner of Flash Nightclub: George Pratt. If you don’t, then surely you must have heard of him. Pratt has a long and impressive history in Toronto’s LGBTQ+ Village. Before opening Flash, Pratt was the long-time owner of George’s Play, a popular Drag bar and event space located directly across the street from where Flash stands now (and before that he owned the legendary Club Colby’s, Sneakers, and other community spaces). While the memories and legacy of George’s Play lives on, Pratt continues to accommodate new, exciting and exclusive events like the aforementioned “FML Mondays” and “MOJOWEEN,” or last month’s buzz-worthy event, the “Pink List Party” presented by Chad Hudson Events celebrating the world-renowned Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF).

“Over 300 TIFF participants from around the world attended the ‘Pink List Party’ and all 30 Flash dancers enjoyed the opportunity to perform for a mixed crowd,” says Pratt.

“Toronto Drag Queen Morgan James entertained the crowd with an unforgettable version of ‘Big Spender’ while wearing a full-length, pink sequined dress… In theme, of course,” Pratt continued.

Flash is also known for bringing in dancers from Montréal, like the hunky Francois who performed an interpretation of the notorious ‘Sperm Attack’ from the early days of Remington’s (a now-closed male strip club on Yonge Street).

“Francois caught everyone’s attention,” Pratt said. “His performance was followed by thunderous applause, everyone loved it, and Chad Hudson from Chad Hudson Events in Los Angeles told me he loved the venue and would be booking a return engagement for next season. It’s very exciting!”

With notable mentions in numerous local publications, Flash Nightclub has maintained its hype, delivering steamy after work strip shows, weekly dance parties and exclusive special events! The second floor has now re-opened as the suggestively eye-catching COCK Bar (a special event space hosting weekly Latin Nights + more), so whether you’re looking to play some afternoon Bingo, dance the night away on a Monday night or spend some time watching some of the hottest men in the city put on sexy show, Flash has something for everyone.

NOTE: Since Flash Nightclub operates as Men’s Only Membership Club, women and female-identifying individuals should check Flash’s social media before attempting to enter: http://www.facebook.com/FlashOnChurch.

“FML Mondays,” “MOJOWEEN,” and COCK Bar are always female-friendly.
