Launched in 2019, the Drag Queen of the Year Pageant Competition Awards Contest Competition returns for the first time in an all new digital format. The pageant, which puts inclusivity at the forefront, will take place on Sunday, March 7, 2021.

Founded by Pageant Director, host, and extra-terrestrial icon of stage and screen Alaska Thunderfuck 5000, and co-founded by Executive Assistant Pageant Director Lola LeCroix, DQOY is teaming up with the groundbreaking streaming platform Sessions Live to launch a digital Pageant Competition that will bring together a global audience.

Featuring eight stunning contestants, carefully selected by a mysterious panel of anonymous Drag Elders, this collection of outstanding Drag artists will compete for a chance to win a crown, a sash, a bouquet of very nice flowers, and a prestigious title. Oh, and also $10,000 (via PayPal).

Preparations for this year’s festivities are in full swing, and our lineup of brilliant contestants are hard at work creating their digital packages. Categories include Talent Performance, Evening Wear, and a Presentation look in an assigned theme. 2019’s theme was leopard print…but what will it be this year? Stay tuned to find out what the secret theme is so you can dress up at home and share your looks with the rest of the DQOY community.

Celebrity judges Nicole Byer, Peppermint, Bob the Drag Queen, Shea Couleé, Jiggly Caliente, Vinegar Strokes, Willam, and 2019 contestant Aurora Sexton will be tasked with the vital role of judging and scoring the outstanding cast of contestants.

As a special early bird rate, tickets start at just $20 — or you can upgrade your digital experience with deluxe ticketing packages that include the collectible Official Pageant Program, special gifts, exclusive merchandise, and more.

We look forward to seeing you — digitally — for an exciting program of prestige, elegance, and Drag excellence, known as The Drag Queen of the Year Pageant Competition Awards Contest Competition.
