Ezra – gay horror/comedy vampire series premieres Oct 1, 2022
EZRA follows the story of Ezra Grey, a gay vampire who escapes his home to enter the modern world. It’s a new age take on a classic coming out story that focuses on Ezra, played by Luke Hutchie, who also wrote and produced the series. After fleeing the dark and demonic chains of his shadowy old home, Ezra, a killer gay vampire, takes a leap of faith and enters the modern world. In doing so, he is forced to navigate his own insecurities and supernatural tribulations.
After centuries of envying human life whilst living in the shadows, Ezra finally grows tired of the loneliness his vampiric roots bring him. A social outcast from his vampire tribe, and the black sheep in his family, Ezra turns to the human world in hope of a more fulfilling life. A life that may even, hopefully, include love. He enrolls himself into a University for Human Psychology, an education fitting for Ezra’s interest in his food’s psyche. After a successful move into the human world, Ezra still has to deal with the annoyingly “human” burden of what to eat, or rather, who.
The show is set to make its premiere on OUTtv (Canada) and AppleTV+ and Amazon Prime (USA) on October 1st, 2022.
