Love in Kilnerry is about the residents of a small remote town who panic when the EPA announces mandatory changes to their chemical plant could cause a dramatic increase to their libido. The sheriff, played by Daniel Keith, tries to maintain order and decency but mayhem ensues. The movie is in the vein of Waking Ned DevineThe Full Monty, Clue, and Calendar Girls.

What had originally started off as a play being work-shopped in New York City in 2015, was written as a screenplay by producer, director, and star of the film, Daniel Keith. He raised $1.2 million and took his crew to Portsmouth, New Hampshire, to make the movie. The film went on to win 45 awards and 26 nominations for Best Film, Best Screenplay, Best Director, Best Actors(s), and Best Choreography.

The comedy has maintained a 91% critical review and 91% audience review on Rotten Tomatoes and a 9/10 on IMdb.com. Keith made 54 gifs from the movie that he had uploaded to Giphy.com. Those gifs were used over 116 million times worldwide on social media and smart phones in the first nine months. Metaskye, a digital company that builds Web3 tools meant to democratize the internet through crypto currency and NFTs, partnered with Keith’s production company, Archway Pictures, to release 10,000 Love in Kilnerry NFT’s and its own crypto currency on November 9.

The mayor of Portsmouth, NH, signed a decree renaming the town to Kilnerry every April 9 for “Kilnerry Day”. A day in which all the businesses get in on the fun by changing their names, playing the movie for thousands of regional residents, and creating festivities. Kilnerry, NH, can now be found on Google Maps. The film is also being remade in India and Singapore.

Edited by John Wison (Downton Abby, Billy Elliot), and original score written and performed by Randy Edelman (Last of the Mohicans, Leap Year), casting by Kimberly Graham (Homeland), and colored by Company 3 (A Star is Born, Star Wars).
