Known as the LGBTQ+ capital of the Caribbean, Puerto Rico invites travellers from all backgrounds and identities to join in the Boricua spirit. Come and live a Pride experience like no other, at an event where strangers are not strangers for long.

Partnering with Discover Puerto Rico, Condé Nast x Vogue brings the immersive Pride exhibition Through the Eyes of Boricuas to Toronto for one night only, showcasing all the vibrancy of Puerto Rico. Guests can expect an evening of ‘Boricua’ – a spirit, flavour, and rhythm you will feel through photography, culinary delights, and infamous mixology.

Exhibiting on-island photography by the infamous Cristobal Guerra, this showcase of the spirit of Pride in Puerto Rico is one not to be missed. Expect an all-encompassing evening including an immersive sunset by Toronto-based Light Artist Kari Skene, and authentic cuisine supervision by chef Paxx D. Caraballo.

Working with Puerto Rican artist and photographer Cristóbal Guerra, the exhibition is a snapshot of contemporary Boricuan queer culture. Showcased during special events throughout Pride month, the show features a selection of newly commissioned photographs captured by Guerra around the Boricuan island. From musicians and fashion designers to performers and writers, Guerra’s lens spotlights inspiring LGBTQIA+ creatives that play a key part in pushing Boricuan queer culture forward. Captured in their personal spaces and communities, these individuals are part of a rich tapestry of queer stories from the island’s past, present and future.

Through the Eyes of Boricuas – Friday June 23, 2023 10am to 4pm – Space Toronto, 300 King St E, Toronto. Free
