Just when you thought your worst nightmare was over… Liberty Entertainment Group announces the return of its classic and beloved Halloween-themed event, Legends of Horror  presented by Captain Morgan, on the grounds of Toronto’s celebrated historic castle, Casa Loma.

Celebrating its eighth year, Toronto’s must-attend event opens September 29th and runs until October 31st. To thrill and chill the blood further, the undead known as Zombie Apocalypse return from the depths of hell in their abandoned haunted house immersive experience, located adjacent to Casa Loma at 175 Kendal Avenue, Toronto. The two, newly re-imagined events are guaranteed to elevate one’s fear factor, make one’s blood run cold and stop audiences… dead.

Welcome to my nightmare

Legends of Horror is a theatrical interpretation of classic horror characters, themes and décor known as promenade theatre — where guests wander at their own pace through an interactive set as the sun sets, and autumnal moon rises. With thrills and chills at each turn, dramatic lighting, 3D imagery projections and animatronics, guests begin the 2 km outdoor walking trail in the lower gardens of the property and wind their way through to Sir Henry Pellatt’s rat-infested, dimly lit tunnels under the street. Next, the castle’s historic – allegedly, haunted – Stables, the freaky and fantastical home of Dr. Frankenstein, where his cast of ghoulish characters await.

Exit light, enter night…

Liberty Group is thrilled to announce the gala VIP premiere, one night only, appearance of Toronto’s rock & roll darlings, the Cold Weather Captains performing live onstage in the castle’s Glass Pavilion — aka the Captain Morgan Bar and Lounge — where opening night VIP guests may recharge with themed bar & beverage options. With unparalleled views of the creepy castle projections, the Captains will undoubtedly maximize the ultimate horror experience, to kick off the festivities. The Lounge is open throughout the remaining calendar program — for all patrons — offering the scariest and spookiest of refreshments, to chill and quiet the soul on their journey.

The rise of the flesh-eaters

Zombie Apocalypse – created in partnership with Secret City Adventures – invites guests to enter the world of fictional pharma giant, Biolux to meet its army of cannibalizing and contagious undead. Located in an abandoned facility south of Casa Loma at 175 Kendal Avenue (southeast corner of Kendal and Davenport Ave.) the 45-minute indoor activation features live and interactive characters intended to leave audiences dead. The event runs from September 29th – October 31st from 6pm – late.
