WinterViews – Toronto’s largest patio transitions to a winter wonderland with a synthetic skating rink and dining cabins
As the temperatures drop and winter takes over the city, Winterviews is ready to welcome Torontonians to the newest outdoor oasis in the city. Presented by RendezViews, it’s designed to be part cottage retreat and part Winter Wonderland, complete with 10 private dining cabins, a communal lodge, and fully surrounded by the city’s largest synthetic skating rink.
Guests of all abilities can enjoy FREE SKATING on The OG Rink during the day or evening. Complimentary skates will be available (first come, first served) and those who have skates are encouraged to bring their own. Beware though, this is not a traditional ice surface, it’s synthetic. So there’s no traction for skates to dig into. It’s more like a rollerskating surface, but slipperier. It definitely will take an adjustment for those expecting to just jump on and go, but hey it’s something new to try, and if it’s not your thing then there’s plenty more on offer onsite.
For one of Toronto’s most unique winter experiences, book Private Dining in one of 10 Northern Cabins to revel in great food and drink. Each cabin comes with its own fire pit to enjoy your hot beverages while making s’mores and taking in the views. Reservations required.
There are packages that include a full spread of food, drinks and smores ($75 per person plus gratuity and tax) AND there is a package that is applicable for a group who just wants to get together with friends for some drinks and snacks ($50 fee + $200 minimum spend for the group plus gratuity and tax). All the info on how to book these options are here. Guests can also just stop by for some skating and beverages/snacks (for purchase).
This setting wouldn’t be complete without amazing food and full beverage menu highlighting specialized hot drinks. Grab a beverage in the Back Country Lodge, complete with heaters and grab and go eats and seasonal beverages. Perfect for a drop in or apres-skate hang. No reservations needed..
All onsite structures are built by GRIPBlock using only recyclable, reusable wooden blocks. The synthetic ice surface is created by Glice ® Eco ™ Rink, and works in all weather, uses zero water, requires no energy, and therefore has no CO2 emissions.
Future programming announcements are expected, including a Karaoke Cabin, and an opportunity for guests to have a stand alone S’mores experience
