Boomstock presents bands from the 70s to 90s, featuring Bachman-Turner Overdrive, UB40, Chilliwack, Sweet, and The Box – Aug 24, 2024 (Toronto)
For those who lived it, and those who missed it, Boomstock, will take us all back to the music from the 70s, 80s, and 90s with an eclectic mix of rock, pop, and reggae. The lineup includes legendary Canadian bands Bachman-Turner Overdrive (BTO), Chilliwack, and The Box, along with UK bands UB40 and Sweet.
This show takes place at the new The Bowl at Sobeys Stadium, a 9000-capacity open-air venue situated on the grounds of York University. It’s part of the inaugural Summer Concert Series that started in June with a concert by the Barenaked Ladies, Sam Roberts Band, and KT Tunstall, and continued with other shows from dancehall legend Shaggy and 112, and a Big Shiny Saturday concert that featured Canadian rockers The Tea Party, Headstones, I Mother Earth, Treble Charger, and Bif Naked. There are also two shows left in the series, Kevin Hart on Sept 6, and Milky Chance with K. Flay on Sept 12.
