Ladytron return with their dark-synth sounds of both new and classic tracks – Aug 30, 2024 (Toronto)
Liverpudlian band Ladytron have emanated the future of music with a retro reflective sound since their early beginning in the late 20th century, 1999 to be exact. Comparisons to many of the darker sounds of the 1980s are hard to ignore, with the tones of Human League, Cure, Siouxsie, and more coming to mind. With their sophomore album, Light & Magic, now over 20 years old, and their newest release, Time’s Arrow, released late last year, they’ve accumulated an awesome collection of 21st century electropop that is sure to woo audiences on their current tour that’s set to touch down in Toronto on August 30, 2024 at the Phoenix Concert Theatre.
Check out some of the new and older tunes below, then get ready to dance the night away. As a side note, they are playing at the famed Phoenix Concert Theatre, which has been putting on amazing shows for the past three decades. Alas, the time has come to bid adieu to this venue, as it is being torn down to make way for residences, with the official closing date January, 2025.
