I Don’t Understand You follows Dom (Nick Kroll) and Cole (Andrew Rannells) as they set out on the perfect Italian getaway, before returning home to become fathers to their newly adopted baby. However, after getting lost on the way to dinner, they end up stranded in a storm, offend the locals, and—whoops—accidentally kill a beloved restaurant owner. With no cell service or language skills, the body count continues to rise as their romantic escape goes completely off the rails.

Everything is picture-perfect, the epitome of a European babymoon, when things begin to spiral out of control. These two Americans, who are used to being catered to, are now in a foreign land with no cell service, zero comprehension of the Italian language, and, as fear takes over, escalating turmoil that could explode at any moment.

This was an unexpectedly funny movie not only spearheaded by the two lead actors, but also from all who appear on screen, and of course the inate dark sense of humour so often depicted in Italian movies.
