The Q Musicale queer music festival takes over The Distillery Historic District – June 10 to 14, 2025 (Toronto)
After a wildly successful debut in 2024 that drew thousands, and packed Toronto’s Gay Village, The Q Musicale returns — bigger, bolder, and prouder than ever. In partnership with the iconic The Distillery Historic District, and recognized as a Major Cultural Event of Pride Toronto, The Q Musicale is expanding into a landmark five-day festival, June 10 to 14, 2025, making it the first of its kind in Canada.
Taking place June 10 to June 14, 2025, The Q Musicale will showcase a dynamic lineup of 2SLGBTQIA+ artists, spanning genres, identities, and art forms. Last year’s inaugural event featured 32 artists in a one-day, 10-hour festival, and the response was electric. This year, the festival is going even further, creating a bigger lineup of artists, and transforming one of Toronto’s most beloved cultural spaces into a multi-day celebration of queer music, joy, and community.
“With The Q Musicale, we’re not just putting on a show, we’re creating a cultural movement,” says Founder Antoine Elhashem. “We saw the need to create initiatives that give more opportunities to queer live music artists and amplify their art, and here we are in our second year, growing and creating bigger programming. While the artists performing are 2SLGBTQIA+, this will be a really great festival for everyone, music is universal, and we urge everyone to come out and have a great time.”
Founding Partner Sherry Sylvian states “This expansion speaks to the power of queer artistry and the overwhelming demand for authentic, inclusive spaces,” adding, “As a transgender artist, I am particularly excited to be involved in presenting an entire evening spotlighting transgender and none-binary artists.”
“The Distillery Historic District has always been a home for artists and a gathering place for community,” said Rik Ocvirk, Director, Experiences & Events, The Distillery Historic District. “We’re thrilled to partner with The Q Musicale to spotlight the incredible talent within the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and to help create space for celebration, connection, and live performance in our historic setting.”
Expect show-stopping performances, dancing in the cobblestone street, and the unmistakable energy that only a truly queer celebration can bring. The full line-up of performers will be rolling out on The Q Musicale website.
